Knight-Captain Omnis

My new Space Marine commander for the Inquisition army I'm working on for 500-1000 point tournaments of Warhammer 40,000. With this model I wanted to get away from using so much black, as my last two armies, Raven Guard and Black Templars, left little room for having fun with different colors. He was basecoated with Chaos Black spray primer alongside his brethren in the veteran squad, and then I picked out the raised Latin script on the armor with a drybrush of Boltgun Metal. The armor was then coated with a mixture of Chaos Black and Blood Red, because the local hobby shop was fresh out of any darker shade of red. I finished up with a coating of a 1 1 mix of Chaos Black, Blood Red, and Boltgun Metal for a final drybrush. The visual effect is quite cool, he's all glittery and stuff when the light hits him right. I then painted the right shoulder guard and the helmet with Bleached Bone until they would hold a solid coat of Skull White, because the cat knocked over my grey last week. I was thinking of picking up a Citadel hero basing kit, but they're a tad expensive and awfully hard to get a hold of. The main body and left arm is a grey knight terminator because they are the most kickass of models, the thunder hammer arm is off the terminator assault sprue, the bolter is from a tactical squad sprue, and the melta-gauntlet was made by clipping the barrel off of the psycannon already attatched to the arm and gluing on the barrels from the multi-melta on the landspeeder sprue. The right shoulder guard and the skull shrine are from the black templars accessory sprue, and the background is an old Platformer set.
